The POUVOIR Method

The POUVOIR Method is a 90 days Method in which the client goes through 3 phases: RESET, REBUILD, and PERFORM.

RESET - Phase 1

The client I’m working with will undergo a mandatory 6-week nervous system reset phase. I understood quite early in my career that performance optimization methods were only effective if the system they were built upon allowed it. The nervous system is the body’s stress regulator. Stress, in various forms, is vital for building muscle or resilience. But just as vital as stress is the period of rest that follows, and its duration and intensity will determine the effectiveness of this modality. And a dysregulated nervous system is stuck in sympathetic mode and generally associated with rest and recovery disorders.

During this period, I gather as much biometric data as possible, which will allow me to assess a positive or negative evolution of their stress level and readjust if necessary. I use unconventional methods such as personal introspection, breathing techniques, sleep optimization and recovery practices, personalized nutrition, postural recalibration, long-distance endurance, and specialized strength exercises.

REBUILD - Phase 2

After this mandatory reset phase comes a phase where we will build a solid foundation that can assist us in our personal and professional functions. At this stage, adaptation to stress has considerably improved. This new stage lasts 4 weeks, and the focus shifts a little more to the physical side while continuing the stress regulation work established during the first 6 weeks.

REBUILD - Phase 2

After this mandatory reset phase comes a phase where we will build a solid foundation that can assist us in our personal and professional functions. At this stage, adaptation to stress has considerably improved. This new stage lasts 4 weeks, and the focus shifts a little more to the physical side while continuing the stress regulation work established during the first 6 weeks.

The last two weeks of the program are focused on maintaining a high level of performance without exhaustion, by integrating everything that has been built in the Reset & Build phases, learning Flow techniques, and refining the nervous system’s responses.
